Program Highlights

In alignment with our vision and values, the programs at Aspiring Steps offer enriching, holistic activities in a safe environment. While program specifics may change, examples of our activities include:

  • Daily Living: Cooking, laundry, personal care, and other essential tasks for independent living.

  • Community-Based: Field trips to museums, shopping, restaurants, library visits.

  • Outdoor Engagement: Nature walks, picnics, gardening.

  • Fine and Gross Motor: Arts & crafts, gym time, indoor/outdoor games.

  • Fun & Recreation: Celebrations, dance, bowling, movies, and more.

Year Round

For our year-round participants, we develop an Individualized Enrichment Plan (IEP) in collaboration with the participant and their parents/caregivers. This personalized plan targets specific interests and personal and vocational training goals. The IEP is regularly reviewed and adjusted to reflect progress and evolving needs.

Level of Support and Enrollment

Aspiring Steps is for individuals with developmental disabilities who can participate in group activities, follow instructions, and communicate needs verbally or expressively. They should be able to manage personal hygiene with minimal support and not require mobility support.
